Filed under: Fairlie & Lippy News, News by Steven F. Fairlie @ March 4, 2024

Dave Keightly Jr. is Fairlie & Lippy’s newest associate attorney. Mr. Keightly had worked for Fairlie & Lippy in its early days as a Law Clerk. He returned over a decade later after spending all of that time working for the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. Dave has known and worked with Steve Fairlie and Liz Lippy in various roles for 20 years. Seeing them both in court as a high school intern was part of the reason Dave decided to pursue a career in the law!

Formidable Friends

Steve and Liz aren’t the only familiar faces at the firm. As a prosecutor who appeared in a courtroom on most days for almost 11 years, Mr. Keightly frequently had cases with Christine Cregar, who joined the firm earlier last year after working on “the other side of the aisle” at the Bucks County Public Defender’s Office for 16+ years. In fact, Dave and Christine were their offices’ respective trial team coordinators for President Judge Bateman’s courtroom. They worked there together, helping with the formative stages of Bucks County criminal court’s current individualized calendar system. Dave and Christine’s combined 28+ years of experience in criminal court from both sides of the courtroom has already yielded impressive results!

Courtroom Experience

Over the years, Mr. Keightly has handled almost every kind of criminal prosecution, but primarily handled cases involving firearms, drug dealing, serious vehicular crimes like homicide by vehicle, automobile theft, and DUI. His vast familiarity with the various types of criminal cases and his prosecutorial experience enable him to predict the other side’s next move and use that knowledge to work on getting his clients the best possible result from the time he becomes involved in a case. Additionally, Mr. Keightly’s experience with prosecuting vehicular cases criminally is valuable when assessing the strengths of a civil personal injury claim arising from a motor vehicle collision, whether or not DUI was a factor.
